VDOT Highway Alerts for the week of March 15 - 22, 2019

VDOT Highway Alert

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Richmond District has released its forecast of road construction/closures that could cause delays from March 15 - 22, 2019.

Two projects are planned that will impact travel in and to Goochland County.  The full list of projects including other localities is available via the link below.

Goochland County Administrator Presents Proposed Fiscal Year 2020 Budget

Goochland County Administrator John A. Budesky has proposed a $87.5 million County Budget for Fiscal Year 2020 to the Goochland County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, February 19th.

The proposed Fiscal Year 2020 Budget would begin on July 1.  The County General Fund budget at $56.2 million represents a $3.1 million or 5.8% increase from the current year.

The Goochland County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 to elect District 2 Supervisor Manuel Alvarez, Jr. as chairman and District 1 Supervisor Susan F. Lascolette as vice-chair for 2019.
